There are 10 main functions of the ComplyEd Web App, designed to make life simpler for school leaders, and deliver the ultimate Ofsted action plan.
Education Inspection Framework (EIF)
The EIF function of the ComplyEd Web App provides peace of mind by ensuring schools are fully prepared for inspections at all times. It supports school leaders to demonstrate compliance with the EIF, building a robust bank of evidence demonstrating all school improvements from one Ofsted inspection to the next.
This function helps address recommendations from previous Ofsted inspections and supports the development of strategic priorities and school improvement plans. It facilitates the production of self-assessments and the collation of evidence to support these judgements, enhancing confidence in self-assessment.
The EIF function generates comprehensive self-assessments supported by a school’s organised evidence, providing a clear and accurate picture of the school’s performance.
In addition, it supports school leaders, ensuring the school’s website meets all regulatory requirements, avoiding potential compliance issues.

Premises, Health & Safety Compliance
This function of the ComplyEd Web App ensures thorough health and safety management by recording statutory and non-statutory health and safety checks. It ensures that no aspect is overlooked.
It enables schools to easily see when health and safety checks are due, using the RAG rating system. Schools can also store all health and safety certificates, reports, and action plans in one place. Users can conduct and submit risk assessments for managerial approval, ensuring thorough and compliant safety practices.
Additionally, the Premises, Health & Safety Compliance function allows schools to log and monitor hazardous substances, as well as accidents, incidents, near misses, and RIDDOR reports, providing a comprehensive oversight of the school’s health and safety compliance.
Training
The Training function allows schools to keep a detailed record of all training activities, ensuring that every staff member’s professional development is tracked, that all mandatory training requirements are met and up-to-date, and avoiding any gaps in compliance. The RAG rating system also enables schools to easily identify when training needs to be renewed.
This function also allows schools to store and manage training certificates digitally, making it easier to access and verify training records, collate and organise evidence of continuous professional development, support school improvement and prepare for inspections.
School leaders are able to generate reports on individual staff, groups, or the entire school, providing insights into training completion and compliance.
Policies
The Policies function of the ComplyEd Web App simplifies policy management. It enables schools to store all policies in one place, making them easily accessible and manageable.
From here, schools can monitor statutory policy compliance and use the RAG rating system to highlight when policies are due for renewal.
Additionally, this function enables users to run comprehensive reports, providing a effective and efficient way of managing any oversights.
Faith School Inspection
The Faith Schools Inspection function of the ComplyEd Web App provides schools with peace of mind that they’re fully prepared for faith inspections at all times. It ensures schools meet all religious framework criteria by compiling a robust bank of evidence demonstrating the school’s religious character and the journey of improvement from one inspection to the next.
This function supports schools in addressing recommendations from previous inspections, producing self-assessments, and collating evidence to support these judgements, boosting confidence in self-assessment.
Additionally, the resource library offers checklists, FAQs, and advice tailored to support schools through the inspection process, with downloadable documents for sharing with staff, Governors, and external visitors.
Asset Management
The Asset Management function of the ComplyEd Web App streamlines asset management. It enables schools to record and maintain a detailed inventory of all assets, including all electronic and non-electronic equipment and furniture, along with their serial numbers, value, purchase date, and location.
This function will assist schools in ensuring all portable appliances are tested and compliant with safety standards, automatically calculating the depreciation of assets, and assisting with financial planning and reporting. It will also track the disposal of assets, ensuring an up-to-record is maintained.
Additionally, it can run detailed reports based on asset name, value, and location, ensuring comprehensive oversight and management of school assets.
Audits & Accreditations
Risk Management
The Risk Management function enables the production of a comprehensive whole school risk register, using trusted formulas to assess and manage risks. It employs a RAG rating system to identify and prioritise risks, ensuring that the highest risks can be monitored closely.
Additionally, this function enables users to download the risk register document so it can be easily shared with staff, Governors, and external visitors, ensuring transparent and effective risk management.
Allegations & Low Level Concerns
The Allegations & Low Level Concerns function of the ComplyEd Web App enables schools to streamline complaint and allegation management, by providing a platform to log all complaints. This includes any actions taken at each stage, together with the resolutions.
It also facilitates the logging of allegations and low-level concerns, along with any actions taken and resolutions made, to support disciplinary processes.
Users can produce reports based on names and the type of complaint, allegation, or low-level concern, to identify patterns and trends. This will enable proactive management of conduct and behaviour issues within the school community.
Supplier / Contract Management
The Supplier/Contract Management function of the ComplyEd Web App offers comprehensive supplier and contract management capabilities. It enables schools to record all suppliers, service level agreements (SLAs), and contracts, including key dates and terms, notice periods, and renewal dates.
There’s also a field for notes which enables users to provide comments on satisfaction with the service for future planning purposes. The RAG rating system highlights when contracts are due for renewal, aiding in budget planning and ensuring adherence to notice periods.
Additionally, Schools are able to add alternative supplier quotes to evidence compliance with procurement processes, and support decision making.
It provides downloadable documents for sharing with staff, Governors, and external visitors ensuring transparency and accountability.
